Netbook Skin using Wordle.net (Lenovo S10)
Custom netbook skin using a word cloud based on the article entitled Semantic Web from Wikipedia. Text was retrieved in Wikipedia’s print friendly version of this article with header and footer information removed. The image was then created in Jonathan Feinberg’s terrific Wordle application. Words were constrained to 150 total and stop words (i.e. common words) removed. From this applet, an oversize (larger than the laptop lid of 6.5" x 9.875") version was captured from screen then resized to exact dimensions (Adobe Fireworks) and then simply printed (inkjet) on self-adhesive 8.5"x11" photo paper. On my Lenovo Ideapad S10 netbook.
